El Arq. Alejandro Daniel Becker dio detalles del proyecto personal que emprendió para restaurar este vehículo de fabricación argentina tan particular
Hace unos diez o doce años, el arquitecto Alejandro Daniel Becker le compró a un amigo un auto BMW Isetta, que tiene un diseño muy particular por tener una sola puerta y ser de un tamaño mucho más pequeño que un Smart.
“Esa fue mi primera experiencia con la restauración de autos.En una ciudad que a veces es tan agresiva, la gente te sonríe cuando lo ve pasar. Tiene una especie de simpatía natural el auto”, contó al programa “Urbanos” en Radio Arinfo.
Su segunda experiencia en la restauración fue una moto Siambretta con sidecar y el tercer proyecto fue un ícono de la industria automotriz argentina: el auto conocido como El Justicialista.
“Es un auto que no solo tiene un sentido de movilidad, porque fue el segundo de la historia que se hizo de plástico, sino que tiene un sentido más cultural ya que en algún momento se pensó un país industrial”, planteó Becker.
El arquitecto destacó el “sentido estético y cultural” de la pieza que restauró como parte de un emprendimiento personal que inició hace ocho años con ayuda de su socio y de un mecánico.
Solo se fabricaron 167 unidades de El Justicialista. Hoy quedan solo 30 y unos 15 han sido restaurado.
Cuando Becker adquirió el suyo, era una “chatarra” y no tenía el motor Porsche original. Con el tiempo, consiguieron uno en Córdoba.
“Fuimos reconstruyendo todas las partes, las de plástico y las mecánicas”, precisó.
El trabajo terminó hace muy poco. “Lo sacamos a pasear por Buenos Aires hace 15 días”, comentó, orgulloso, Becker.
“Lo que más nos interesa no es lo que significa desde la política, sino desde la cultura y desde el diseño. Es un placer haberlo realizado. Es un bien cultural que nos pertenece a todos los argentinos”, concluyó el arquitecto desde los micrófonos de Radio Arinfo.
