El muralista habló de sus más recientes trabajos, que resaltan en las paredes de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires
Alfredo Segatori es uno de los artistas urbanos más destacados de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires. Sus trabajos coloridos y originales se destacan en las paredes de distintos barrios y espacios del ámbito porteño.
Hace un tiempo se hizo conocido por haber sido el autor del mural más grande del mundo en Barracas. Se trata de una obra de 2 mil metros cuadrados en la que retrató a muchos vecinos del barrio.
“Pero no tengo el certificado Guinness”, bromeó Segatori en diálogo con “Urbanos” por Radio Arinfo.
En los últimos meses, el artista dedicó más de un mes a una obra imponente en la Dársena F del Puerto de Buenos Aires.
“Se propusieron varias temáticas, entre las cuales estaban los animales autóctonos y en peligro de extinción. Por eso hicimos un yaguareté, un búho, un águila mora y un puma, entre otros. Fuimos componiendo una situación de animales”, comentó.
Y, sobre esa experiencia, precisó: “En los trabajos en murales de grandes dimensiones se usa bastante material. Son muchos litros de pintura porque son silos areneros”.
El barrio de Montecastro es uno de los más privilegiados. En sus edificios tiene obras de Segatori como la de un puma y una jirafa que ocupa 13 pisos (43 metros de alto). “Venimos con los animales a full”, destacó y recordó que en un Festival en Puerto Esperanza, Misiones, hizo un tucán.
Pero el artista no solo usa pintura, también incursiona en el tema del reciclaje y chatarra. Una de sus obras más icónicas con esta técnica puede verse en una cervecería en la esquina de Humboldt y Cabrera, en Cabrera.
Es en ese marco que Segatori trabaja en conjunto con la Cooperativa de recicladores urbanos El Ceibo, espacio en que ha instalado su taller.
“Las mías son obras efímeras porque se van desgastando con el tiempo y hay que ir reciclando y haciendo nuevas. El arte en el espacio público está en constante mutación”, concluyó el muralista desde los micrófonos de Radio Arinfo.
