Iliana Calabró tuvo la oportunidad de ir en varias ocasiones a Italia, país por el que siente un especial cariño. Fue una vez por trabajo, junto a Marley, y luego volvió en otras ocasiones de paseo y para visitar familiares y amigos. Aunque conoció varias cidades, aún no ha tenido tiempo de acercarse hasta Sicilia, de donde son sus ancestros y asegura que es una cuenta pendiente para el próximo viaje.
"Italia es la cuna del arte, de la moda, sus paisajes, su historia. Hay mucho más allá del coliseo, del capitolio, del monumento a Vitorrio Emanuele, de la piazza del popolo, de la piazza spagna o de visitar trastevere por la noche y ver los artistas de la bohemia italiana", comentó y recordó que, en su último viaje, fue a Roma junto a Fede Bal y Barbie Vélez, cuando estos aún eran pareja.
Iliana destacó, sobre todo, la gastronomía italiana: "La comida es otro espectáculo. ¡Me comí todo!. Sobre todo, en el Sur. Así pases por una estación de servici,o tenés pastas, paninis, helados, masitas, tiramisú. La gastronomía es espectacular, también los jamones, los quesos, las carnes, los pescados..."
Actualmente, la actriz está de novia con un italiano llamado Antonello, dueño de una fábrica de quesos artesanales italianos en Argentina. "Está bueno tener la suerte de ir con alguien que conoce porque te lleva a los mejores lugares. Tal vez no son tan conocidos pero se come bien y se hace más accesible", valoró en diálogo con el programa "Sin escalas" en Radio Pronto.
De Italia, Iliana también disfruta las compras. Describió a Milán como la "cuna de la moda a nivel internacional", ya que allí están las mejores marcas italianas y de todo el mundo. "Es una tentación y un placer recorrer", señaló.
Asimismo, afirmó: "Al hombre italiano da gusto verlo. Se arreglan mucho, mantienen la moda en el peinado, en el calzado, en el vestir, en el perfume. Son muy coquetos. La mujer también, pero no tanto".
Finalmente, reveló que no descarta radicarse en Roma una vez que sus hijos finalicen el colegio. "Es una ciudad hermosa en cualquier momento del año.
