El prestigioso artista repasa la actualidad del género y habla de cómo los bailarines han tomado prioridad por sobre los cantantes
“El cantante siempre tiene que cantar. Cualquier escenario es bueno para hacerlo”, aseguró Néstor Fabián, quien hace varias décadas se luce en el mundo del tango.
Premiado por su trayectoria en el Salón Azul del Senado en el año 2015, el cantante hoy se dedica a animar fiestas privadas en todo el país, junto a su esposa, la también artista Violeta Rivas.
“En determinado momento, yo noté que el solista tanguero tenía muy pocos recursos para estar ante el público. Yo siempre hice boliches, pero llegó un momento en que estos se transformaron para el turista y comenzaron a llamar a otra clase de artistas. Ya no necesitaban a Raúl Lavié, a Enrique Dumas o a mí. Podía ser cualquiera el que estuviera sobre el escenario, porque tenía que cantar los temas tradicionales. Así, era de bajo costo el cantante”, lamentó el artista en diálogo con “Comunas” por Radio ArinfoPlay.
Tras calificar a “Fuimos”, de Homero Manzi, como “uno de los mejores tangos de la historia” por tener una “letra es impagable”, Néstor Fabián habló de cómo han cambiado las prioridades en el tango: “Cuando yo comencé, el que llevaba la batuta era el cantante. Después, la orquesta y, si había tiempo, bailaba una pareja. Ahora es al revés: la prioridad es la parte bailable, luego la orquesta y, si queda tiempo, el cantante. Cada cual hace su negocio: esta es la forma ahora”.
“Hoy hay pocos bailarines de piso, hay muchos malabaristas que parecen artistas de circo. Nosotros, los cantantes, bailamos cantando. Cuando hacés la melodía, estás bailando”, aseguró, a la vez que celebró el ingreso de cada vez más mujeres al género.
Finalmente, el prestigioso artista se definió como “un tipo agradecido”. “Tantos me han dado una mano que, si yo puedo hacerlo, lo hago con mucho cariño”, sostuvo desde los micrófonos de Radio ArinfoPlay.
