Se trata de un proyecto que brinda ayuda y apoyo en materia educativa a una población tucumana
La ONG Minkai trabaja hace varios años con el fin de realizar diversas tareas para mejorar la calidad educativa de la localidad de Palomino, en la provincia de Tucumán. Trabajan en por del progreso educativo para aumentar las oportunidades de acceso y para que el sistema sea más inclusivo y de calidad.
“Esto ha mutado bastante. Nosotros conocimos a la comunidad a través de un programa extracurricular que se hacía cuando íbamos al colegio, el cual decidimos continuar una vez que egresamos. El proyecto, en un principio, tenía muchos frentes: hacíamos talleres de capacitación o de discapacidad. El foco en educación es algo bastante reciente, de los últimos dos años”, explicó Guillermina Papu, integrante de Minkai.
Actualmente, la ONG trabaja entre frentes: capacitación docente, otorgamiento de becas para estudiantes secundarios y, a partir de este año, también universitarios.
“Al principio, el programa tenía un carácter más asistencial, pero con el tiempo intentamos hacer proyectos a largo plazo. Siempre hicimos todo a pulmón”, recalcó Papu en diálogo con “No va más” por Radio Arinfo.
Al ser consultada sobre los efectos que ha tenido su iniciativa solidaria, la integrante de la ONG plateó: “La confianza ha cambiado mucho. La gente ve que volvés todos los años, que los chicos egresan o que damos becas universitarias y eso hace que confíe mucho y se vaya sumando”.
“Problemáticas hay varias: desde cuestiones de infraestructura hasta el compromiso y la calidad económica o académica. Hay faltas por todos lados, pero nosotros enfocamos en las cuestiones educativas como el ausentismo, la deserción en el secundario o el recambio constante de profesores. La idea es hacer un trabajo personalizado de los chicos, tenerlos motivados para terminar el secundario y darles el apoyo necesario para hacerlo”, remarcó Papu.
A la par de los proyectos, Minkai creció como organización: “Al principio éramos un grupo de amigos pero hoy tenemos seis comisiones de trabajo, entre ellas, comunicación, proyectos, finanzas, etcétera. para diversificar el trabajo. Actualmente tenemos un plantes estable de 40 colaboradores y unos 400 voluntarios”.
“Se hacen dos viajes grandes por año a Palomino, uno en Semana Santa y otro a finales de Julio. Todos los meses también van representantes a monitorear los proyectos para tener una continuidad”, comentó Papu desde los micrófonos de Radio Arinfo.
El pasado domingo 2 de julio en las adyacencias del Hipódromo de San Isidro, se realizó una maratón solidaria organizada por Minkai: “Fue un éxito desde los inscriptos hasta la recaudación. Este evento tiene un símbolo: nos gusta que gente de la comunidad participe activamente del proyecto, que corran por la educación y los proyectos”
“Nosotros somos un grupo de amigos que nos pusimos a trabajar juntos y que creamos algo muy ‘groso’. Instamos a otra gente a que haga lo mismo con cualquier cosa que les parezca importante. Se necesitan mucha gente con pilas para cambiar las cosas”, concluyó.
